Bank Art Fair Singapore 2025, Presenting the “Jojo and Gigi” Series**

Artist and picture book author Louise Yi, currently based in Taipei, participates in Bank Art Fair Singapore 2025, presenting her recent works including the Jojo and Gigi series and a selection of hand-drawn original picture book artworks. Blending narrative elements from picture books with contemporary artistic language, her works reveal a gentle yet distinctive personal style within the exhibition.

Organized by a Korean team, Bank Art Fair Singapore 2025 features a strong presence of Korean galleries and artists. In recent years, Korean contemporary art has expanded rapidly across Asia and the international market, becoming a significant force in the region. This year’s fair also brings together galleries from Singapore, Shanghai, Southeast Asia, and various European cities, offering a diverse panorama of contemporary art across Asia and Europe.

As one of Asia’s key financial and cultural hubs, Singapore has been steadily cultivating an environment for art collecting and cultural engagement within its pragmatic economic framework. Art is increasingly integrated into everyday life, positioning Singapore as an important bridge between Asian and European art markets.

Louise Yi notes that her last visit to Singapore was nearly a decade ago, and she had not expected to return through an international art exhibition. Drawn to the warmth and relaxed atmosphere of Southeast Asia, she sees this exhibition as an extension of her recent solo exhibition in Taipei—combining artistic practice, cultural exchange, and travel, while allowing the Jojo and Gigi series to continue its dialogue across cities and cultures.
